In America the top business gurus earn thousands of dollars and travel the world. They can fill huge auditoriums. They enjoy star status on the management lecture circuit.
At a time when business morale is low, we’re looking for figures to inspire us to do exceptional things. We want leaders who can put things into perspective. We need entrepreneurs who can create change.
We’re searching for eight speakers to give a seven-minute speech in front of a live audience. You need to persuade us why you deserve a place in the final line-up. When you enter, your video, profile and pitch will be posted on blog, so you can get the attention of agents, conference organisers and business organisations.
On the basis your video, profile and pitch, a panel made up of the sponsors and members of the UK Speechwriters’ Guild will select up to 24 speakers to go forward for an audition. They will be invited to Southampton on Thursday 27 September to take part in a day of interviews.
Eight speakers will be chosen to go forward to speak in the ‘Grand Final’ in the evening.
The judges will award marks at the end of the contest. The top speakers will then go forward to an audience vote. The votes will determine the winner, runner-up and third place positions.
